These athletes have dedicated their lives to playing football. Now they’re hoping to hear their names called from the podium in Nashville, TN. The 2019 NFL Draft marks the 84th annual meeting of the league franchises to select newly eligible players. NFL fans and fantasy football aficionados, take note!

At first, it looked like the Arizona Cardinals were going to use their top pick spot to get ahold of Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Kyler Murray, but as the draft gets closer it seems there are no guarantees. Speculation tells us the #1 pick may go to either defensive tackle Quinnen Williams or defensive lineman Nick Bosa. Either of these options would effectively drop Murray down the list for the 2019 draft.

Another name we’ll hear early on is Mississippi State Bulldogs defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons. If it wasn’t for his torn ACL in mid-February, we’d likely be seeing more of him, but even with his setback he’ll probably get picked up, spending his rookie season on reserve/PUP.

Go behind the scenes and inside the war rooms! The NFL’s stars of the future take the stage during the 2019 NFL Draft live on NFL Network, ESPN, and ABC. It all starts with Round 1 on Thursday, April 25 at 8 p.m. ET.
