Director Ramin Bahrani (Man Push Cart, Chop Shop) has made a name for himself creating critically acclaimed independent films that explore the gritty underbelly of urban life. In his latest film, HBO®’s Fahrenheit 451, he’s updated the world created by author Ray Bradbury, and brought it to life with some of Hollywood’s most exciting talent. Starring Michael B. Jordan (Creed, Black Panther), Michael Shannon (Take Shelter, The Shape of Water, Boardwalk Empire), and Sofia Boutella (The Mummy, Atomic Blonde), the film tells the story of a dystopian world in which books have been banned and technology rules. We had a chance to sit down with Bahrani and his cast to talk about the emotional highs and lows of the film, and the timeliness of some of its subject matter. Check out our interviews below, and make sure to watch Fahrenheit 451 this Saturday, May 19th at 8/7c only on HBO®.
