What’s better than one game of high-flying touchdowns, thunderous sacks, and jaw-dropping runs? Why two of course! And on Saturday, December 16th, there’s a great NFL doubleheader coming your way.

First up are the Chicago Bears vs. the Detroit Lions at 4:30/3:30c. The Bears are in experiment mode with rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. He’s showing potential, but it will take some time for him to truly develop. Luckily, he has the team’s strong running game, featuring another rookie, the sensational Tarik Cohen, and the Bears’ dominant defense to rely on for now.

The Lions have definitely improved this year, and appear to be headed towards the off-season. The defense is solid, and while a little slow to get things going, quarterback Matthew Stafford and the entire offense are playing well overall. Although some couldn’t have predicted this at the start of the season, a Lions win over the Bears may be on the horizon.

At 8/7c the Los Angeles Chargers take on the Kansas City Chiefs. So far this season, L.A. has really struggled. The offense is mostly non-existent, and with starting quarterback Phillip Rivers’ concussion, things will probably not improve. The one bright spot is the defense, but that may not be enough.

The Chiefs on the other hand, have been having a great season. They are putting up impressive offensive numbers, and have been making some great defensive stops throughout the year. Recently, there’s been talk of a decrease in the team’s production, but if they can maintain their current pace, L.A. is the favorite.

Will the young Lions take down the Bears? Can the Chiefs finish strong against the Chargers? Tune in to NFLN (Ch. 212) on Saturday, December 16th to find out! The Bears vs. Lions is at 4:30/3:30c, and the Chargers vs. Chiefs is at 8/7c.
