One of the most highly anticipated fights of the year will take place this Saturday, July 28th at Staples Center in Los Angeles. WBO Lightweight champion Mikey Garcia (38-0, 30 KOs) and IBF Lightweight titleholder Robert Easter, Jr. (21-0, 14 KOs) will go toe-to-toe in a title unification bout aired live on SHOWTIME® CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING and DIRECTV.

This is not a PPV fight, so if you have SHOWTIME®, you’ll get the fight for free! If you don’t have SHOWTIME®, upgrade now to get the best of SHOWTIME® CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING, including Garcia vs. Easter!

If styles make fights, so do sizes. Easter has a 4 to 5-inch height advantage and an 8-inch reach advantage over Garcia, who will have to employ all of his considerable speed, power, and skill to counter Easter’s size advantages. Fortunately for Garcia, the Oxnard, California native should have the backing of the crowd at Staples Center.

SHOWTIME® caught up with the WBC Lightweight champion at his training camp ahead of the bout, where a relaxed Garcia offered his thoughts on countering Easter’s size and reach, and where he might take his career should he emerge victorious. Learn more about the fight and how to watch here!
