We all know Kyle Richards as one of the original cast members of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but her time in the public eye started when she was very young. As a child actress she was encouraged by her mom to pursue her dreams, which led to her appearing in several horror flicks and snagging a recurring role on Little House on the Prairie. Her latest project is Paramount Network’s original dramedy American Woman, a show inspired by Richards’ childhood. Not only does American Woman serve as an ode to her late mother, but it also explores the many challenges she faced as a single mother in the turbulent and often exhilarating mid-70s. We spoke to Richards about the show that’s so close to her heart, and also had a chance to talk to its stars Alicia Silverstone and Mena Suvari about their 70s transformations. Enjoy the interviews below, and be sure to catch new episodes of American Woman, Thursdays at 10/9c on Paramount Network.
