The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will make a grand entrance in Chicago this weekend with UFC 225. Windy City fight fans will be pleased with an official fight card that’s stacked with incredible matches and a main event, Whittaker vs Romero 2, that is a certified must-see.

The current middleweight champion Robert Whittaker, and #1 contender Yoel Romero first met at UFC 213. Their match was a grueling 25-minute fight that was named one of the best fights of 2017. Both men gave it their all, competing for a full five rounds, but in the end the outcome was up to the judges. With 48 points awarded over Romero’s 47, Whittaker took the title in a unanimous decision.

Although it’s been a year since their first match, the memory of defeat is still fresh in Romero’s mind. He’s been training relentlessly, and is determined to avoid the mistakes of the past. The only thing missing was a shot at the title, and that’s just what he’ll get at UFC 225.

Additional key match-ups include Colby “Chaos” Covington vs. Rafael Dos Anjos for the interim UFC welterweight title, Chi-Town native and former WWE superstar Phil “CM Punk” Brooks vs. Mike “The Truth” Jackson, and Holly “The Preacher’s Daughter” Holm vs. Megan Anderson in the UFC’s first non-title women’s featherweight fight.
