This year will mark the 30th anniversary of the WWE’s high action, sudden elimination match best known as the Royal Rumble. After 30 years, some may think that there’s nothing new to see, but the WWE is always innovating for their fans.

There will be the usual men’s Royal Rumble match, featuring popular wrestlers like John Cena, Finn Balor, and Randy Orton, but this year, the ladies will take center stage in the first ever 30-woman Royal Rumble match!

You can expect to see all of the WWE’s biggest Superstars like Asuka, Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan, Sasha Banks, Nia Jax, Bayley, and Naomi. You’ll also see a few surprise guests, one of which is rumored to be UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) legend, Ronda Rousey.

The women’s match will operate by the same rules as the men’s. 30 Superstars will enter, one at a time, at consistent intervals. An elimination occurs when a Superstar is sent over the top rope and both of their feet touch the floor. The last woman standing will earn a Championship Match at WrestleMania 34.

Other big match-ups to watch for include the Universal Championship between Brock Lesnar, Braun Strowman, and Kane. As well as, the WWE Championship, which will be a handicap match starring AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn.

The road to WrestleMania begins with the Royal Rumble, so the wrestlers will definitely be giving it their all. No matter who wins, they’ll each be a part of a historic night for World Wrestling Entertainment!

History will be made at this year’s WWE Royal Rumble. Make sure to catch all the action this Sunday, Jan 28th at 7/6c pm live on Pay Per View.
