some cool A/C, a comfy couch, and a movie marathon! We surveyed some of our New York City office to find out what they’ll be watching once the food coma sets in, and we got a nice array of summery flicks to choose from:

Independence Day: “It’s funny to think that this has become a July 4th classic, but it really has! And it came out over 20 years ago… which makes me feel really old!”

Forrest Gump: “This movie just makes me feel good. There’s something really comforting and inspiring about it!”

Wet Hot American Summer: “As someone who went to summer camp, I can say that this movie is totally inaccurate… and TOTALLY on point. I cackle every time I watch this ridiculous movie—even though I’ve seen it at least a dozen times!”

Transformers: “You can’t go wrong with a summer blockbuster! It just seems right to watch this on July 4th… maybe it’s all the explosions? Makes me want to watch a whole lot of fireworks!”

Dazed and Confused: “I discovered this movie in high school, and I seriously watch it every summer! The soundtrack is unbelievable, and I love seeing younger versions of Matthew McConaughey and Ben Affleck decked in their 70s gear.”

Summer Catch: “This is such a silly movie, but it totally encapsulates the “90s teen flick.” I mean come on, Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jessica Biel! What’s not to love?!”

So kick back, relax and enjoy some time off! Happy 4th!
