While many people are heralding the start of spring, Game of Thrones fans know better. Winter is still coming, and thankfully soon. George R.R. Martin’s beloved saga returns to HBO on April 12, with even more bloodshed, plotting, struggles for power, and dragons than ever before.

Here are four ways to get celebrate about the show’s imminent return.

1. By crossing your fingers that you’ll get to celebrate its return many more times: As much as fans are clamoring for more from the world beyond the wall, so is the network. While the creators were once quoted as saying they wanted the show to span seven seasons, in recent articles HBO has given the staff an open door to make episodes as long as the creators are happy with it. HBO programming president Michael Lombardo told Entertainment Weekly, “We’ll have an honest conversation that explores all possible avenues. If they weren’t comfortable going beyond seven seasons, I trust them implicitly and trust that’s the right decision—as horrifying as that is to me. What I’m not going to do is have a show continue past where the creators believe where they feel they’ve finished with the story.”

2. By drinking the latest Game of Thrones-themed beer: All men must drink? Ommegang Brewery’s fifth Game of Thrones-inspired beer the Three-Eyed Raven Dark Saison Ale will be available for fans to quaff just in time for the premiere, hitting store shelves on April 6.

3. With hoards of official behind-the-scenes videos: Over the weekend, HBO uploaded a swath of clips explaining how the epic worlds and sets are built, including sneak peek into how the production crew created the latest world the show’s characters will inhabit: Dorne.
