Fresh off his controversial Oscar-hosting gig, Seth MacFarlane is gearing up for what sounds like a rootin’ tootin’ homage to Mel Brooks’ Blazing Saddles.

Titled A Million Ways to Die in the West, the new movie will boast a cast that includes Amanda Seyfried, Charlize Theron and Giovanni Ribisi. And this week The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Taken 2 star Liam Neeson could also be bringing his special set of skills to MacFarlane’s Old West.

In addition to directing the film, MacFarlane will also star as a cowardly sheep rancher who falls for Theron’s character, the wife of a notorious gunslinger played by Neeson.

A Million Ways to Die in the West is set to start filming this summer with a 2014 release likely.
