Warner Bros.’ beleaguered Justice League movie has had quite a bit of trouble getting off the ground with script after script getting rejected, the most recent by Gangster Squad scribe Will Beall, causing fans and industry insiders to worry that it may never happen.

Today, however, Latino Review says they have the inside scoop on Warner’s new plan to save Justice League – bring in Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale.

While this may seem like a no-brainer, Bale has stated he would not don the cowl again unless Nolan was involved, while Nolan has repeatedly said that he would have nothing to do with Justice League.

Nolan did however produce this summer’s Superman film, Man of Steel, which Zack Snyder directed and Warner Bros. is apparently ecstatic over. So much so that they made a push for Nolan to handle all things DC from here on out, much like Disney gave Joss Whedon the keys to Marvel, an offer which Nolan has reportedly accepted.

With the door now open for Bale to return as Batman, the current plan is for Nolan to produce a Snyder-directed Justice League for 2015 with Bale starring alongside Man of Steel’s Henry Cavill as Superman.
